Click A Tree – Planting trees for the environment

One night in a hotel causes an average of approx. 25–30 kilograms of _CO2 emissions! The lighting in the hotel room, the use of the television, the provision of chilled drinks and the use of the shower and fittings in the bathroom all have something in common: they are virtually indispensable for a hotel stay, but they cause harmful greenhouse gas emissions. These greenhouse gases, including the prominent carbon dioxide, commonly known as _CO2, are primarily responsible for global warming and are significantly disrupting the balance of our ecosystem.

We are already trying to avoid these emissions through strong commitment (geothermal heating system, priority electricity procurement through PV system) on our part, but unfortunately we are only partially successful. Not all emissions can be prevented.

A completely climate-neutral stay is therefore only possible in the accommodation and conference areas through compensation. Various climate protection projects enable these _CO2 emissions to be offset and offer a good opportunity to act or stay in a climate-neutral manner and with a clearer conscience.

To compensate for this, we have chosen the project “Click A Tree – Planting trees for the environment”.

The organisation Click A Tree works holistically and sustainably and is always committed to fulfilling all 17 of the United Nations’ sustainability goals. That is why its reforestation projects are long-term in nature and always linked to economic development cooperation in the respective countries. The projects promote equal opportunities, food security and the protection of biodiversity.
